He is in foster care. One Sunday afternoon, the local police from Paracuellos alerted us about a cat trapped behind the fence of a villa, not moving, and seemed injured. To rescue him, we had to climb down a ravine that led to the fence. When we finally reached him, we saw that he wasn't moving, he was injured, and he had gotten himself tangled in a concertina wire with blades that surrounded the perimeter of the house from the exterior side. At the moment of the rescue, we checked that he wasn't moving his hind legs and feared the worst, but Rey Majo is a fighter. Despite the gunshot wounds we found during our subsequent tests, he doesn't give up. With the help of our veterinarian, who is taking care of his foster care and rehabilitation, he is already walking on his own and starting to use the litter box, with effort, he is managing to do it. Rey majo is a super good and loving cat, he keeps meowing for us to pay attention to him. He needs a home where he can finish recovering, with space to move and continue with his rehabilitation. He is already neutered. FELV-FIV test negative. 17 August 2023 REY MAJO has improved a lot: He is no longer paralyzed, he walks with a certain normality, he has "spinal walk," meaning, after rehabilitation, he has recovered movement through the spinal reflex. He defecates in the right place. He contains his urine, he urinates on his own but in small amounts, so we still need to help him by depressing his bladder. Perhaps one day he won't need the help and can do it himself, it's still less than a year since the "accident." He is a happy cat, very good, and very playful, he gets along well with dogs, cats, birds, turtles...

Está en casa de acogida. Una tarde de domingo la policía local de Paracuellos nos dio aviso de un gato atrapado detrás de la valla de un chalet, no se movía, parecía herido. Para su rescate hubo que descolgarse por un barranco que daba a la valla, Cuando conseguimos llegar hasta él, vimos que no se movía, estaba herido y se había metido en una concertina con cuchillas que rodeaban el perímetro de la casa por la parte exterior de la misma. En el mismo momento del rescate comprobamos que no movía sus patas traseras y nos temimos lo peor, pero Rey Majo es un luchador, a pesar de las lesiones por disparos que encontramos en las pruebas que le hicimos posteriormente, él no se rinde. Con la ayuda de nuestra veterinaria, que está ocupándose de su acogida y de su rehabilitación, ya está andando solo y empezando a usar el arenero, con esfuerzo lo está consiguiendo. Rey majo es un gato súper bueno y amoroso, no para de maullar para que le hagamos caso, para que le prestemos atención. Necesita una casa donde terminar de recuperarse, con espacio para que pueda moverse y seguir con la rehabilitación. Ya está castrado. Test FELV-FIV negativo. 17 agosto 2023 REY MAJO ha mejorado mucho: Ya no es paralítico, camina con cierta normalidad, tiene "andar espinal" es decir, tras la rehabilitación ha recuperado el movimiento a través del reflejo de la médula espinal. Defeca en su sitio. Contiene la orina, hace pis por si solo pero poca cantidad, por eso hay que ayudarle deprimiendo vejiga. Quizás un día no sea necesaria la ayuda y pueda hacerlo él, aún no ha hecho un año desde el "accidente" Es un gato feliz, muy bueno y muy juguetón, se lleva bien con perros, gatos, pájaros, tortugas...
