He greeted us at the gate and practically invited us to come in. Inside, he took the treats and stayed close by, though it’s still clear that he still needs his buddies as a back-up. We wish him a home with loving people who have only dogs, green grass, and spots to nap in.———–Update May 2024: Richard has since developed positively and happily took treats from our hands, coming up close while doing so. It’s noticeable that he aligns himself with his two kennel companions, who provide him with security. Therefore, it would be very important for him to find a home where he can live with a confident only dog. It’s really time for him to leave the shelter and find his people. He is now already in his 6th wasted year in the shelter.—————Update November 2022: Richard remained rather reserved and preferred to stay in the background. Although he was curious, he lacked the courage to approach us closely. Therefore, it was not possible to touch him or pamper him with treats. A friendly fellow who needs a quiet environment and time to warm up. Contact: Our dogs are vaccinated (rabies and 2x core immunization), microchipped, and come with an EU pet passport at our expense (we cover the lab fees) tested for common Mediterranean diseases: Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis, leishmaniasis, rickettsiae, filariasis, hepatozoonosis, anaplasmosis. Er begrüßte uns gleich am Tor und lud uns regelrecht ein, hereinzukommen. Drinnen nahm er die Leckerchen und blieb in unserer Nähe, wobei immer noch offensichtlich ist, dass er seine Kumpels schon ein wenig als Rückdeckung braucht. Wir wünschen ihm ein Zuhause bei lieben Menschen mit Ersthund, grünem Grass und Sonnenflecken zum dösen.———–UPDATE Mai 2024:RICHARD hat sich zwischenzeitlich positiv entwickelt und hat gerne die Leckerchen aus der Hand genommen und kam dabei auch nah ran. Es ist zu beobachten, dass er sich an seinen beiden Kennel-Kollegen orientiert, die ihm auch Sicherheit geben. Daher wäre es für ihn sehr wichtig, wenn er ein Zuhause findet, wo er mit einem souveränem Ersthund zusammen leben darf. Für ihn wird es wirklich Zeit, den Shelter zu verlassen und seine Menschen zu finden. Er ist nun schon im 6. vergeudeten Jahr im Shelter.—————UPDATE November 2022:RICHARD zeigte sich nach wie vor eher zurückhaltend und blieb lieber im Hintergrund. Obwohl er neugierig war, fehlte ihm der Mut, näher mit uns in Kontakt zu treten. Daher war es auch nicht möglich, ihn anzufassen oder mit Leckerlies zu verwöhnen. Ein freundliches Kerlchen, das ein ruhiges Umfeld und Zeit braucht, um aufzutauen. Kontakt: Unsere Hunde sind geimpft (Tollwut und 2x Grundimmunisierung) sind gechippt und mit dem EU-Heimtierausweis ausgestattet werden auf unsere Kosten (wir übernehmen die Labor-Gebühren) auf die gängigen Mittelmeerkrankheiten getestet: Babesiose, Ehrlichiose, Leishmaniose, Rickettsien, Filarien, Hepatozoonose, Anaplasmose werden nur nach positiver Vorkontrolle (Hausbesuch) gegen eine Schutzgebühr mit Schutzvertrag vermittelt.
