Ringo

Male · Baby · 10 months

Hello dear Guinea Pig friends! Here I come, the wonderful Ringo. I was found outside, and unfortunately, no one has missed me, so I am now searching for a new home quickly. Charactertically, I am a very sweet rooster. So far, I have only had contact with people at the animal shelter, but my caretakers think that I would definitely also be a sweet hen. For my new home, it is important that my enclosure is overnetted or even has a coop. Additionally, you should already have guinea pigs, as I need fellow animals. Currently, there are also two other female guinea pigs that I could move in with. It would be good if you let your neighbors know, as I sometimes crow. Although I am small, I am not as loud as a large rooster. I hope for a quick happy ending. Do you think we would be a good match? Dan, please write an email and include information about yourselves and your housing conditions. Send pictures as well.

Hallo liebe Zwerghühner-Freunde!

About Ringo

What life with Ringo looks like

Ringo is a large puppy/kitten animal waiting at Tierheim Stuttgart in Stuttgart.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Ringo far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

Note from the shelter: Requires netted enclosure or aviary, needs other bantam chickens as companions, crows occasionally

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ringo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ringo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Stuttgart handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ringo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ringo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Stuttgart will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ringo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ringo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Stuttgart early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ringo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
