A Gentle Soul Rio is a calm and composed girl with a laid back and calm temperament. When visitors arrive, she greets them with quiet curiosity and doesn’t bark, showcasing her gentle nature. She was comfortable with being touched all over by our assessor, including her ears, paws, and tail, and she loves a good belly rub, making her a delightful companion for anyone looking for a loving pet. Perfect Walking Partner Taking Rio for a walk is a pleasure, she walks well on a lead without any noticeable pulling. Ideal Home The only dog: She need to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention. Any potential owner must advocate for her and not allow unfamiliar dogs to approach. Cat Friendly: Having grown up with cats, Rio could potentially live with a feline friend, although she gets on well with her own household cats, there is no guarantee she will in a new home. So, introductions must be done carefully. Dog Savvy children aged 12+: Rio has been raised around small children but struggles with them grabbing and being too rough, so she would be best suited to a family with older, dog savvy children and someone to advocate for her when things get too much. She needs a secure garden with robust 6ft fencing. Rio would not be suited to life in a flat. If you live in rented accommodation, we must see proof of landlord’s permission to own a large breed dog on the premises – This is non-negotiable!
