Robin

Chinese Crested · Male · Young · 1 year

Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs ongoing support Can I be left alone? Yes Robin has previously been left home alone for up to 4 hours and can potentially do so again once he has settled in and comfortable in his new home. Do I have any medical conditions? Existing conditions Robin is a Chinese Crested cross, and so the majority of his body is hairless. New keepers should research the breed and how to take care of his skin. He does suffer from itchy paws and forelimbs. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome him and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking him home. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? No Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information He has been able to meet friendly dogs and go on walks with them but he can be unsure of what to do around some dogs. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but should continue to meet dogs to develop his doggie social skills. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Robin will need a home with a garden of his own where he can enjoy off lead time. What type of environment would suit me? Robin would suit a home with children 13 years and over as he can a worried boy at times and would like everyone in the home to be old enough to read his body language. About Robin Robin may be hairless but he is fearless! Full of personality and charm, this clever boy is as bright as he is entertaining. He is a real sweetheart, bursting with love and affection for his favourite people. This handsome boy is truly unique – bald everywhere except for his fluffy toes, his adorable fuzzy head, and the tip of his tail … and let’s not forget that very peachy little bum! He would love a home with a toy box overflowing and a family who’ll happily join in on his treasure hunts. And then there are the zoomies … Robin’s joyful bursts of energy are guaranteed to make you smile. As a fashionable young man, Robin rocks jumpers and shirts depending on the weather to protect his delicate skin. Don’t worry – he does it in style. Vogue, watch out! This boy knows how to serve a look while staying cosy. Robin is wonderfully intelligent and truly enjoys engagement work, always eager to use his brain and please his humans. He’s eager to learn, keen to please and thrives when his brain is kept busy. His absolute favourite game? Hide and seek with treats! He’s also blossoming on walks and has begun to really enjoy the company of other friendly, sociable dogs. If you’re searching for an affectionate, playful and smart companion who will keep you smiling every day, Robin could be your perfect match.

About Robin

What life with Robin looks like

Robin is a small young adult chinese crested dog waiting at Woodgreen Pets Charity in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Robin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Robin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Woodgreen Pets Charity handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Robin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Robin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Woodgreen Pets Charity will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Robin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Robin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Woodgreen Pets Charity early rather than rehoming privately; they know Robin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
