Robin

Unknown · Young · 3 years

This beautiful lap cat is Robin. She was found wandering on the street and brought to our shelter. Her estimated birth date is May 6, 2023. Robin is calm and cautious by nature. A matching golden bowl would be suitable for her. After a time of unobtrusive presence in the shelter, she is now increasingly visible and more relaxed. Robin needs patience, time, and no expectations to develop and relax. A quiet/resting place where she is not disturbed and from which she can observe to take steps at her own pace. Her curiosity when seeing the interaction between us and the other cats (playing/cuddling) gives her courage and daring, as well as a nice bowl of wet food. Robin shares her space with multiple cats where she chooses her own spot. The possibility of being placed with or near another cat is there, provided the other cat is calm, not overbearing, and lets Robin go her own way. A good introduction and acclimation period between the cats is a must. Multiple food/drink bowls and litter boxes will certainly be present. With enough attention and a relaxed atmosphere, Robin can also be happy as a single pet. Small children and other animals in the house are too busy in their enthusiasm. Will your heart melt for this gentle cat? Do you have the qualities and living space for a good match with Robin and do you want to become her forever friend? Email then with reference to Robin

NL·Show original

Haar geschatte geboortedatum is 6 mei 2023. Robin

About Robin

What life with Robin looks like

Robin is a small young adult cat waiting at Hokazo in Uden.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Robin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Robin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hokazo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Robin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Robin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hokazo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Robin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Robin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hokazo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Robin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
