Rocky is generally a friendly and quite laid-back male. However, he has a strong independent streak and can become unfriendly if he doesn't want something. If his body language is ignored, he becomes more emphatic and forceful, and in the worst case, he might bite to create space. Therefore, we are looking for people who can accept his independence and are not looking for a dog with a strong desire to please. Rocky doesn't need a lot of entertainment. He prefers several short walks, and on longer walks, he sometimes refuses to go further and wants to go home. The common basic commands are not really there for the laid-back male. Rocky is very vigilant, which, combined with his independence, can be described as having a very herding dog-like character. Therefore, a property he can guard would be ideal, where he can also have contact with his family. With his caregivers, he is generally friendly and accommodating, but you should be able to read his body language. Only when visitors come must you manage. Rocky gets along well with other dogs, he has already been socialized with females and also with males. If you are interested in one of our dogs, please contact us preferably by email. Rocky ist grundsätzlich ein freundlicher und recht gemütlicher Rüde. Er besitzt aber ein eigenständiges Gemüt und kann auch mal unfreundlich werden, wenn er etwas gerade nicht möchte. Beachtet man dann seine Körpersprache nicht, wird er deutlicher und vehementer, im schlimmsten Fall würde er beißen, um sich Raum zu verschaffen. Wir suchen daher für Rocky nach Menschen, die ihm eine gewisse Eigenständigkeit zugestehen und keinen Hund mit großem Will to please suchen. Rocky benötigt sowieso kein großes Entertainmentprogramm. Er geht lieber mehrere kleine Gassirunden, bei großen Runden streikt er manchmal und möchte lieber wieder nach Hause. Die gängigen Grundkommandos sind für den gemütlichen Rüden eigentlich auch garnicht existent. Rocky ist sehr wachsam, was sich zusammen mit seiner Eigenständigkeit mit einem sehr herdenschutzhundartigen Charakter beschreiben lässt. Schön wäre daher für ihn ein Grundstück, welches er bewachen kann, wo er gleichzeitig aber natürlich auch Kontakt zu seiner Familie hat. Mit seinen Bezugspersonen ist er wie gesagt grundsätzlich umgänglich und freundlich, man sollte aber seine Körpersprache lesen können. Nur bei Besuch muss man etwas managen. Mit anderen Hunden ist Rocky gut verträglich, er war bei uns bereits mit Hündinnen und auch mit Rüden vergesellschaftet.
