Rolex

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 15 years

This fluffy, charming fellow, who goes by the name Rolex, may appear small and cuddly, but he’s got a big heart behind his ears. The little man would much rather comment and control everything if given the chance. It’s likely that this was also the case in the past, leading to unsightly situations like biting incidents. When Rolex knows what’s expected of him, he enjoys cuddles very much and goes along nicely on a leash. He also lets veterinary visits and treatments pass without a fuss. The authorities have imposed a muzzle requirement on Rolex. His new guardians should be very experienced and capable. Good enforcement and empathy are prerequisites to giving the little one a home. Other dogs or children should not live in the family and should not be in the plans, as Rolex wants to take the whole family into his own hands as a singleton. We look forward to your financial support through a sponsorship to help us find Rolex a home.

29.10.2026 (ma*)

About Rolex

What life with Rolex looks like

Rolex is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Hamburger Tierschutzverein in Hamburg.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rolex, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rolex?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hamburger Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rolex on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rolex if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hamburger Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Rolex already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rolex isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hamburger Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rolex and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
