Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this dog now! The sweet Romina is looking for love, fun and adventures! Romina lived with her mother and her siblings Larry, Leni, Eumel, Caligula, Lara, Anaya and Amela in Romania. She was lucky and could now travel to her foster home in Barsinghausen. There, the sweet mouse can be visited at any time. Romina is adjusting well, is open, curious, kind and very compatible with all her companions. A real sunshine and dream dog! She is totally uncomplicated and loves to do everything. Romina is beautiful and has a great coat color in black and brown tones. Her mother is about 45 cm tall. We assume that Romina will also reach a similar size, around 50-55 cm. The little sunshine is already enchanting everyone on site with her friendly, playful and relaxed nature. And we really hope that she will soon be able to run around in her forever home. Romina gets along well with other dogs and would like to play all day long. She knows and accepts cats and has no problem with them. Like every puppy, Romina needs to do her homework and learn the basics of dog training. Whether it's housebreaking, car riding or leash walking. All of this is new territory for her. But she is already showing a relaxed and eager to learn attitude. So we are sure that Romina will master every challenge with great success if her humans accompany her with loving and consistent education. The visit of a positive working dog school would certainly be a great addition. If you wish that Romina can soon explore the world, then please contact us very gladly! Romina is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and treated against fleas and comes with her EU pet passport. Due to her age, she is not yet spayed. She can be adopted after a successful pre-check and against a fee, and move into her home. Thank you Gritt, for your godparenting. Thanks to you, Romina has a beautiful name and thus an identity. About Romina

What life with Romina looks like

Romina is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Romina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Romina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Romina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Romina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Romina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Romina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Romina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
