Ron

Male · Senior · 15 years

Ron is a dog who, during the first days in the animal shelter, withdrew into himself - distrustful, withdrawn, unsure of people's intentions. However, over time, he showed that a completely different side was sleeping within him: a balanced, curious companion who can enjoy the moment and the presence of another. He doesn't seek fireworks, but peace and stability. Today, he is a dog ready for a new stage - life by the side of a person who will give him space and time to build a real bond. For someone who doesn't seek a dog's turbo volcano of emotions, but values quiet walks, shared laziness, and gently built bonds. Ron is a dog who will certainly appreciate a person who values daily rituals, understanding, and patience. He may not fetch slippers or jump onto the bed with excitement (at least not immediately), but his presence will bring a lot of peace and... a charming, senior-like playful dignity into the home. We are looking for a calm home - an apartment or house with a garden, where Ron will be close to people, but also have the space to observe the world at his own pace. Other dogs? No problem. People? Very no problem! Commands? Well, life has taught him to observe rather than obey. But who knows - maybe with a good caregiver, he will learn more than one thing?

PL·Show original

Inne psy? Spoko. Ludzie? Bardzo spoko! Komendy? No cóż, życie nauczyło go raczej obserwować niż wykonywać rozkazy. Ale kto wie – może z dobrym opiekunem nauczy się niejednego?

About Ron

What life with Ron looks like

Ron is a medium-sized senior dog waiting at Funny Pets Czartki in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ron, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ron?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Funny Pets Czartki handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ron on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ron if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Funny Pets Czartki will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ron already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ron isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Funny Pets Czartki early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ron and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
