adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Ronda has found her home! Her story: Bistrita, Romania. Does anyone have a cozy dog bed free for Ronda? Ronda was found with her mother in a very unsavory area, where unfortunately many street dogs live. Thankfully, they were brought to safety and are now waiting in the shelter for their new families. Ronda is puppy-type outgoing, playful, and very loving. She is always friendly towards other people or children and also gets along well with fellow animals. She loves to be cuddled and spoiled – but she is also never turned off by a fun playtime. Ronda is currently 3 months old and will grow to be small to medium in size. Our mouse is such a wonderful female dog, and we wish very much that she finds a suitable forever home as soon as possible. However, her new family should also be aware that Ronda has not yet experienced life in a loving family. She still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is still ahead of her. Here, she needs people who can approach with much love and patience, and possibly also attend some positively working dog training classes with her and forgive her one or two mishaps. A dog training class can also be a great help at the beginning to strengthen the bond between dog and human. Leash walking, house training, and being alone are still foreign words to her. During puberty, she will surely test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Ronda will definitely become a great lifelong partner. Many thanks to Ulrike T. and Andrea K.! You have given Ronda her name. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

About Ronda

What life with Ronda looks like

Ronda is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ronda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ronda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ronda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ronda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ronda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ronda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ronda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
