Adopt Rook

Male · Young · 1 year

Rook Available Date of Birth: December 2024 Meet Rook! Gorgeous Rook is a bouncy, full of beans, cheeky chappy. Rook didn’t have the best start in life and came to us extremely underweight and desperate for love. With lots of TLC and yummy treatos Rook is finally ready to find his forever home and best friend to get up to bunny mischief with! Rook absolutely loves being outside exploring, foraging, zooming around and climbing all over the garden furniture. For this reason we feel he would be best suited to a large predator-proof outdoor setup where he can enjoy the space, binkying to his heart’s content (preferably with some supervised-only free roam!). Rook rarely has time to relax, he has lots to see and lots to do – lots of your plants to eat and lots to investigate. Due to his background he isn’t one for a head rub, but he is very friendly and gives you lots of attention if he thinks you have snacks (or if you’re busy cleaning!). If you are looking for a sweet and entertaining bunny then Rook’s your boy!

About Rook

What life with Rook looks like

Rook is a large young adult rabbit waiting at The Littlest Lives Rescue in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rook, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rook?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Littlest Lives Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rook on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rook if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Littlest Lives Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rook already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rook isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Littlest Lives Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rook and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
