ROSA

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 10 months

Rosa is a very lively and people-oriented female dog who loves the contact with our volunteers and shows herself to be very affectionate. She also gets on well with our cats. In the Ark, she is now learning about life in the house, which is still very exciting for her at present. Therefore, Rosa's training plan currently includes rest training, which should continue in her new home. Walking on a leash is still quite new to Rosa and so she often appears quite restless and excited. In initial contact with unfamiliar dogs, she tends to bark at them, jump into the lead and also growl at strange dogs. However, this behavior is limited to the first contact; she meets familiar dogs neutrally on a leash. This is currently being worked on. In the dog group, Rosa makes clear statements to pushy dogs at the beginning. She remains fair and as soon as the other dog accepts her signals, the situation is clarified for Rosa. After getting to know each other, Rosa's excitement quickly subsides and in our dog groups she also shows herself to be social and compatible with her fellow canines. We are looking for a home for Rosa with patient people who want to train with her, continue working on dog encounters and give her peace and security. Due to her people-oriented nature, we can also imagine Rosa as a family dog.

DE·Show original

About ROSA

What life with ROSA looks like

ROSA is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting ROSA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ROSA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ROSA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ROSA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ROSA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ROSA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know ROSA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
