Rosół

Male · Adult · 4 years

Rosół is a gentle male cat still trying to find his place in the situation he finds himself in. He is shy and cautious, making his new environment particularly difficult for him. This is a cat who needs time to feel safe and secure. For now, he carefully observes the world around him and is not in a hurry to form relationships. In interactions, a calm approach and respect for his boundaries are important. Rosół will decide when he is ready to take the next step. Despite his caution, he is a very sweet little guy who deserves a chance and patience. We believe that in the right conditions, he will gradually show his true face and gain more confidence. We are looking for a calm, loving home for Rosoł where no one will put pressure on him. He needs a caregiver who will give him time, space, and a sense of security. We believe that in such a place, he will have the chance to beautifully open up and find the happiness he deserves. Please fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire and come to the animal shelter with it already completed: Before adopting a cat, make sure your home/apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Note: When deciding to adopt a cat or considering it, bring a cat carrier or transportation container to the animal shelter.

About Rosół

What life with Rosół looks like

Rosół is a small adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rosół, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rosół?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rosół on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rosół if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rosół already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rosół isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rosół and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
