Rottweiler Ambra – Lady mit Rums im Klangkörper

Mixed Breed · Male

Ambra came to us because her owner, due to age, could no longer adequately care for Ambra. Originally, a family member was going to take her in, but their efforts were short-lived when he acquired new dogs with whom Ambra was not compatible. She moped around, and her light moment was her granddaughter, who from time to time, with her small male dog, freed Ambra from her melancholy. A complete takeover was not possible, and so she made it her mission to find Ambra a chance. Here, she has adapted well in a short time. Ambra has greeted all people kindly so far, even though she is typically watchful—sometimes in a noticeable and impressive volume. Some veterinary examinations are still pending, and due to her age, she receives joint supplements with her food, and an indoor home is sought. Although no obvious complaints are present, one can see from her gait that Ambra is no longer young. An X-ray revealed that both of her hind knee joints have arthritis, likely due to untreated cruciate ligament injuries. Currently, we do not feel that Ambra is in pain. More serious is the sad diagnosis of a metastatic cancer, turning the lovable female dog into an emergency in need of a foster home to possibly spend a happy retirement. Of course, an adopter who is up to the task would be even better. She is on medication to slow the tumor growth. Ambra is a great female dog, even though other female dogs do not count as friends. With male dogs, one should try, and cats are not her thing. Ambra is leash-trained, and with dog experience, she can be corrected in situations where she shows off her muscles. She is house-trained, and she is accustomed to being left alone. Children should be older and stable, as she has no experience with handling small children. A home with a house and garden, of course with access to the house, is desirable, but not a condition. We consistently refuse outdoor-only housing for all our shelter animals. Who would like to give Ambra the chance to be a beloved family member for the rest of her life?.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rottweiler Ambra – Lady mit Rums im Klangkörper, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rottweiler Ambra – Lady mit Rums im Klangkörper?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Schkortitz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rottweiler Ambra – Lady mit Rums im Klangkörper on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rottweiler Ambra – Lady mit Rums im Klangkörper if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Schkortitz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rottweiler Ambra – Lady mit Rums im Klangkörper already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rottweiler Ambra – Lady mit Rums im Klangkörper isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Schkortitz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rottweiler Ambra – Lady mit Rums im Klangkörper and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
