Update 14.10.2024: Our colleagues report on Rouney: Rouney lives in an animal shelter and shares a pen with other dogs there. She is a friendly, agile female dog with a lot of energy; her tail never stood still :). She would definitely appreciate an active home with lots of movement and stimulation. A prey drive may need to be considered. WHAT HAS HAPPENED UNTIL NOW: Rouney was discovered together with Meizi far away from Patras in the mountains. Hikers found the two in the uninhabited area and fortunately informed local animal welfare workers. The female dogs were hungry and thirsty. Without help, they would not have survived there for long. Whether they were "disposed of" by a hunter or had an earlier owner who abandoned them, their past remains a mystery. However, they were very open with their rescuers and were willingly taken in. Now they live in a pension where they only show their best side. Maria describes both as absolute dream dogs; they are friendly to people, get along well with fellow animals, and even cats are no problem. Now, each is looking for a nice family to show them the beautiful sides of dog life. Upon their arrival, Rouney was already neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and brings an own EU pet passport. Gets along with other dogs.

Sie ist eine freundliche, agile Hündin mit viel Energie, ihre Rute stand keinen Moment still :) Sie würde sich bestimmt über ein aktives Zuhause freuen, mit viel Bewegung und Auslastung. Rassetypisch muss eventuell mit einem Jagdtrieb gerechnet werden. WAS BISHER GESCHAH:Rouney wurde zusammen mit Meizi weit abseits von Patras in den Bergen entdeckt. Wanderer fanden die Beiden in der unbewohnten Gegend und informierten zum Glück örtliche Tierschützer. Die Hündinnen hatten Hunger und Durst. Ohne Hilfe hätten sie es dort nicht lange überlebt. Ob sie dort von einem Jäger „entsorgt“ wurden, oder früher einen Besitzer hatten, der sie ausgesetzt hat, wird ihr Geheimnis bleiben. Ihren Rettern gegenüber waren sie jedenfalls sehr offen und ließen sich bereitwillig mitnehmen. Jetzt leben sie in einer Pension, wo sie sich nur von ihrer besten Seite zeigen. Maria beschreibt beide als absolute Traumhunde, sie sind freundlich zu Menschen, verträglich mit Artgenossen und auch Katzen sind kein Problem. Nun sucht jede für sich eine nette Familie, die ihnen die schönen Seiten des Hundelebens zeigt. Bei ihrer Einreise ist Rouney bereits kastriert, geimpft, gechipt, entwurmt und bringt einen eigenen EU-Heimtierausweis mit.
