Their owner unfortunately could no longer take care of them and there was no other solution for them than to stay in the animal shelter. We have since observed them sufficiently and gotten to know the treasures, so we can now look for a nice new home for them. If there is a spot for them together, that would be very nice, but they can also be adopted separately. We got to know Roxanne as a very soft, scared lady who is very eager to be with you and lies against you. She came to her previous owner at one year of age and knew nothing. Here in the animal shelter, it is noticeable that new things, sounds, and situations are scary for her and she needs support to discover them. Toys do not interest her, but games that contain food? She is a fan of those! She sits very firmly and gives a paw for treats. A snuffle cushion was a hit at first, but now that she knows there are treats hidden in it, she sniffs for the meat to find them. We see that she likes to be outside, but walking in a quiet environment will need to be built up again from a garden. Even though she lived together with Moppie and Moppie can have everything from and with Roxanne (except her food), she does not like other dogs and can be very ugly to them. We are looking for a home without other dogs (or possibly together with Moppie) with a smaller and quieter family. Roxanne also likes peace and not too much fuss. Hun eigenaar kon helaas niet meer voor ze zorgen en er was geen andere oplossing voor ze dan in het asiel te blijven. Wij hebben ze ondertussen voldoende kunnen observeren en de schatjes leren kennen waardoor we op zoek kunnen gaan naar een fijn nieuw thuis voor hen. Mocht er een plekje voor hen samen zijn, dan zou dit heel fijn zijn, maar ze kunnen ook apart van elkaar geadopteerd worden. We hebben Roxanne leren kennen als een hele zachte, bangere dame die heel graag bij je is en tegen je aan ligt. Ze zou op 1-jarige leeftijd bij de vorige eigenaar zijn gekomen en kende niets. Ook hier in het asiel is te merken dat nieuwe dingen, geluiden en situaties eng zijn voor haar en ze steun nodig heeft om zaken te ontdekken. Speeltjes interesseren haar niet, maar spelletjes die eten bevatten? Daar is ze wel fan van! Ze gaat heel flink zitten en geeft een poot voor lekkers. Een snuffelkussen was gek in het begin, maar nu ze weet dat daar lekkers in verstopt zit snuffelt ze naar de vleesjes om ze te vinden. We zien dat ze graag buiten is, maar het wandelen in een rustige omgeving zal toch terug opgebouwd moeten worden vanuit een tuin. Ook al heeft ze samen geleefd met Moppie en mag Moppie ALLES van en bij Roxanne (behalve haar eten eten), vindt ze andere honden niet fijn en kan ze daar erg lelijk tegen doen. We zoeken een thuis zonder andere honden (of eventueel samen met Moppie) bij een kleiner en rustig gezin. Roxanne houdt zelf ook van rust en niet teveel drukte.
