Roxy

European Shorthair · Unknown · Kitten

Roxy, Rubia, Roma and Ria are four siblings who were found together with their parents. The parents were able to return to their place of discovery after being spayed and neutered and are being cared for by their finders. The four kittens were allowed to move into the shelter's adoption area after a short quarantine period. There they are really thriving. They finally have space to play and romp around and enjoy the company of the other cats in the house very much. It's especially nice that the adult cats lovingly care for the quartet and give them a lot of affection. We are looking for a home for all four where other cats already live. The siblings need familiar fellow cats to hold on to and that give them security. Later, secured outdoor access should be possible. The new owners should understand that building trust takes time. Older children are better suited, as well as people who have experience with shy cats.

DE·Show original

About Roxy

What life with Roxy looks like

Roxy is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Roxy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Roxy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Roxy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Roxy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Roxy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Roxy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Roxy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
