Roymi (Ρουμι)

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

🆘 Rumi WAS PRODUCED for the 3rd time by humans and unfortunately returned to the shelter...🆘 So much for Rumi and us believing he had found his forever family, and life at the shelter would be behind him. Unfortunately, we fell outside... Rumi returned to the cradle today! The very same cradle he made a fool of himself to escape from just 2 months ago... He suddenly left the home he felt was his and without understanding why, he found himself alone in a cradle again. How do we tell him that he didn't end up anywhere? Fair - fair was an angel in the home, didn't cause any trouble, and was wild on the bolt! The reasons they returned him DO NOT concern the little one. Do you understand how difficult and heartbreaking it is for a 10-month-old puppy to return to the shelter after just 2 months? Closing the door to the cradle, we gave him a promise: We won't leave him waiting for too long, and how will we really find him his PANTOTINI family this time.

About Roymi (Ρουμι)

What life with Roymi (Ρουμι) looks like

Roymi (Ρουμι) is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Dogs Voice in Athens.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Roymi (Ρουμι), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Roymi (Ρουμι)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Voice handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Roymi (Ρουμι) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Roymi (Ρουμι) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Voice will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Roymi (Ρουμι) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Roymi (Ρουμι) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Voice early rather than rehoming privately; they know Roymi (Ρουμι) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
