Ruby kwam in opvang nadat ze samen met heel wat andere katjes gevangen werd tijdens een grote vangactie. Dicht contact met mensen kende ze voorheen niet maar leert ze ondertussen heel erg apprecieren. Ruby is nog wat bang en moet nog verder ontdekken dat mensen best fijn kunnen zijn. Als ze in een holletje ligt laat ze haar maar al te graag aaien... dan spint ze er op los. Ook met een liquid snack krijg je haar makkelijk zo ver dat ze haar schrik eventjes vergeet. Een voltreffer voor haar. Ruby houdt heel erg van spelen, ze kan zichzelf uren entertainen met een balletje, knuffeltje, veertje, noem maar op... Ruby kan zeker alleen geplaatst worden als haar baasje veel thuis is om haar aandacht te geven.
