adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Rudi has found a home! His story: Five beautiful dog siblings – Happy, Jambo, Rusty, Romulus, and Rudi – currently live in a private shelter in Baia Mare and are hoping for your support! The little puppies were found together with their mother by the roadside after being hit by a car on a busy street. Unfortunately, the rescue for the sixth sibling came too late; it was found lying on the roadside. But the surviving little ones are truly brave, developing into handsome, strong, and healthy puppies. They are about two months old and are searching for a new home. The little Rudi is a typical playful male puppy. He loves playing with his siblings and gets along well with all other dogs. With people, he is very friendly but still a bit reserved and shy. He probably just needs a little more time, love, and affection to truly trust humans. Rudi is a handsome puppy who stands out with his contrasting coloring. He has fluffy white fur, a brown-black back, and a striking facial marking. From his hazel eyes, he looks expectantly into the camera, because we have promised to find him a wonderful place in an engaged and dog-loving family. Still, Rudi is a small puppy, but he is expected to grow into a beautiful, medium-sized dog. Of course, at his young age, he has no experience with life as a house dog and has never heard of house training or leash walking. Rudi will have to learn all of this. In a few months, he will enter puberty, which can bring everything he has learned so far into question and test the boundaries. But with a loving and consistent training style, you can support Rudi during this phase and help his development into a well-mannered and confident young family dog. We wish adopters who will lovingly and patiently take him in, provide him with a family connection, a warm dog bed, wonderful walks, and enough contact with fellow animals. But we would also be very happy about a suitable foster home for the sweet puppy. After the adjustment period, we would recommend a visit to a positively working dog training class, where Rudi can train together with his new family and gain positive experiences. Rudi can now be named after Alexandra C., the namesake who gave the brave Rudi a name and thus a personal identity. As of: 01.02. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 01.02.2026

About Rudi

What life with Rudi looks like

Rudi is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rudi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rudi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rudi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rudi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rudi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rudi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rudi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
