Dass sie überlebt hat, gleicht einem Wunder. Ihr Name bedeutet „Glück“ auf japanisch – und genau das hatte sie im allerletzten Moment. Seit ihrer Rettung lebt Saiwa im Tierheim Năsăud, wo sie sich zu einer lebensfrohen, liebevollen Hündin entwickelt hat. Sie teilt sich ihren Zwinger ohne Probleme mit anderen Hunden und zeigt sich sozial, freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Menschen begegnet sie mit Neugier und Zuneigung – manchmal stürmisch, weil sie jede Form von Aufmerksamkeit so sehr genießt. Trotz ihrer Vergangenheit ist Saiwa voller Vertrauen.
