Sally

Husky · Female · Adult · 5 years

Sally is a beautiful 5-year-old Siberian Husky. She arrived at the shelter with her sister Aïka after being abandoned by their owners who unfortunately no longer had time to care for them. My personality: Sally is a bit reserved at first. She will need some time to trust her new family. But once comfortable, she reveals a very affectionate personality: she loves cuddles and adores scratches. Like any Husky, Sally is an active dog who needs daily exercise. Long walks are a real pleasure for her, as well as playtime. She is also very food-motivated, which can be an asset to continue her education. I like / I don't like: A big water lover, Sally never misses the opportunity to cool off when she has the chance. Curious and dynamic, she will appreciate a present and active family, ready to share many adventures with her. Sally gets along well with other dogs and can live with children without problem. However, no placement with cats will be considered. A perfectly fenced yard is essential for her adoption, in order to ensure her safety and meet the needs of this breed, known for its taste for exploration. If you are willing to give Sally time to trust you, you will discover a gentle, playful, full-of-life and incredibly endearing dog who just wants to find her family for life.

About Sally

What life with Sally looks like

Sally is a adult husky dog waiting at APAA Trégrom in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sally, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sally?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAA Trégrom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sally on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sally if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — APAA Trégrom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sally already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sally isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAA Trégrom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sally and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
