adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Salome has found her home! Her story: Salome made the leap from the Romanian shelter and now lives in Germany in a foster home. There, she is learning step by step what life in a home is like. After the long journey and many new impressions, she initially needed some time to settle in. Now, it is becoming increasingly clear what a sweet, playful, and curious female dog she is. Salome is a rather calm, uncomplicated, and open female dog. When she has gained trust, she becomes playful and shows her curious side. Especially outside, she sometimes gets a bit of a lively extra spin due to her joy in life. So cute! With her charming mustache and attentive gaze, she quickly wins her people over. On the leash, Salome already walks well and likes to accompany her people on small walks. She is currently still a bit unsettled by cars, but she is making progress and is gaining more security. With people, Salome is friendly and interested. Men still scare her a bit, but with patience, calm encouragement, and a few treats, she can be convinced that they have good intentions with her. With other dogs, Salome is generally compatible and more submissive. She does need some time for new encounters. With a calm and respectful introduction, the interaction goes well. However, very pushy dogs still unsettle her. Salome is one of three sisters who were found on the roadside in Romania without their mother. Despite this difficult start in life, she has developed into a friendly and affectionate female dog. For Salome, we wish people who will show her with patience, calmness, and clear guidance how wonderful life together can be. In a more quiet home where she can orient herself, she will continue to develop wonderfully. A visit to a positively working dog training class could also help her gain more security. Salome is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated and has an EU pet passport. Who will give this special little female dog a loving home? Many thanks to Petra B.! You have given Salome her identity! As of: 18.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! So süß! Vielen Dank Petra B.! Du hast Salome ihre Identität geschenkt! Stand: 18.03.2026

About Salome

What life with Salome looks like

Salome is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Salome, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Salome?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Salome on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Salome if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Salome already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Salome isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Salome and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
