Hi there! I’m Sam and I’m a handsome older boy looking for my new forever home. I find myself at Raystede as I wasn’t getting on with the dog in my previous home. My Personality: I’m shy to begin with and it can take me some time to get used to new people. Once I feel comfortable with you though, I’m very affectionate and love to be fussed over. The cattery staff say I’m very gentle, give lovely big head butts, and give you very loud purrs! Once I trust you, I am a definite lap cat and a big soppy boy! Children: I haven’t met children, and due to my nervousness at first, I think I would thrive better if there weren’t young children in my new home. I could possibly live with teenagers. Other animals: I would like a home as the only pet please. I don’t like sharing my space with other cats or dogs. It would be preferable if my new home didn’t have visiting dogs either. Additional needs: I would love for my new home to have a garden. I enjoy being outside and having a wander. I tend to explore neighbouring gardens and have been known to be a keen hunter of mice in the past – my new owners should expect a present or two! I had a urinary infection a few years ago that caused me to have blocked bladder. I now have to stay on a lifelong urinary diet and am currently tapering off medication for this. I would make a lovely companion for the purrfect person. Could I be the one for you? Love Sam xxx
