Sam and Snow, two approximately 5-year-old British Shorthair cats, came to us from another shelter due to severe overcrowding. They originally came from a completely out-of-control breeding operation where around 50 cats were seized. As a result, all of them were in a very poor condition. They were emaciated, infested with worms and fleas, and their teeth were also in a catastrophic state. Now, however, the two are back in good shape, they have gained weight (but there is still room for improvement) and their teeth have been fixed, although some have been lost. The two are initially a bit shy around strangers. But if you give them time and space, they will warm up to you. Good treats help, of course. :) We are looking for a nice, quiet home for Sam and Snow. Due to their shyness, we do not place them in a home with young children. Older, cat-savvy children should not be a problem. The important thing is that they are not harassed and given the time they need. They are used to living indoors. Outdoor access should only take place under secure conditions.

Die beiden ca. 5 Jahre alten Britisch-Kurzhaar-Kater Sam und Snow kamen wegen völliger Überfüllung aus einem anderen Tierheim zu uns. Ursprünglich stammen sie aus einer völlig aus dem Ruder gelaufenen Vermehrung in der ca. 50 Katzen beschlagnahmt wurden. Entsprechend waren alle in einem denkbar schlechten Zustand. Sie waren abgemagert, verwurmt, verfloht und die Zähne waren ebenfalls katastrophal. Nun sind die zwei allerdings wieder richtig fit, sie haben zugenommen (etwas Luft nach oben ist aber noch) und die Zähnchen sind gemacht, wobei auch einige verloren gegangen sind. Die beiden sind Anfangs etwas schüchtern fremden Menschen gegenüber. Wenn man ihnen Zeit und Raum lässt, tauen sie aber durchaus auf. Gute Leckerchen helfen dabei natürlich. ;) Für Sam und Snow suchen wir zusammen ein schönes, ruhiges Zuhause. Aufgrund ihrer Schüchternheit vermitteln wir sie nicht in ein Zuhause mit kleinen Kindern. Etwas ältere und katzenverständige Kinder sollten aber kein Problem sein. Wichtig ist nur, dass die beiden nicht bedrängt werden und die Zeit bekommen, die sie benötigen. Sie kennen bisher nur die Wohnungshaltung. Ein Freigang sollte auch nur gesichert stattfinden.
