Breed: mixed breed Project: Greece/Lesbos Gender: male Age: born 12.07.2022 Size: will be medium-sized Growing to weight: ca. 8 kg (as of January 2023) Other: initially very insecure, playful with other dogs, curious, knows cats Current location: intake shelter in Greece/Lesbos SAMMY's Story SAMMY and his three siblings SALLY, BUDDY, and EDDY are the puppies of a very shy and fearful street dog. Unfortunately, only their litter was secured safely, but not their mother. But Maria doesn't give up, because it's important that she too receives medical care and, most importantly, is spayed. SAMMY is still very fearful and insecure, but is slowly learning that he is safe with Maria and that no one will harm him anymore. Sometimes we think it's better that the dogs don't really tell us about their terrible past. But now everything is good because the siblings are safe with Maria, and they will all learn trust over time. SAMMY shows himself to be very playful and curious with his siblings and other dog buddies. Even the cats in the shelter seem to count as his friends. This is a current and momentary assessment of SAMMY. How he will behave in the future, especially after moving into a new home, we cannot predict. Every animal, like us humans, will change and continue to develop. But with the right, patient, and loving guidance, SAMMY will surely become a loyal family dog. SAMMY is microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for endo- and ectoparasites. For a test on the so-called Mediterranean diseases or a spaying, he is currently still too young. For SAMMY, we wish for a loving family that will give him the necessary security with patient and loving consistency. A family that will provide the security he so desperately needs!

Rasse: Mischling Projekt: Griechenland/Lesbos Geschlecht: männlich Alter: geb. 12.07.2022 Größe: ca. mittelgroß werdend Gewicht: ca. 8 kg (Stand 01/2023) Sonstiges: anfänglich sehr unsicher, mit anderen Hunden verspielt, neugierig, kennt Katzen Aktueller Aufenthaltsort: Auffangstation in Griechenland/Lesbos SAMMY’s Geschichte SAMMY und seine drei Geschwister SALLY, BUDDY und EDDY sind die Kinderchen einer sehr scheuen und ängstlichen Straßenhündin. Leider ist es nur gelungen ihre Kinderschar sicher zu stellen, nicht aber die Mutter selbst. Aber Maria gibt nicht auf, denn es ist wichtig, dass auch sie ärztlich versorgt und vor allem kastriert wird. SAMMY ist noch sehr ängstlich und unsicher, lernt aber schon langsam, dass er bei Maria in Sicherheit ist und ihm niemand mehr etwas Böses kann. Manchmal denken wir, dass es besser ist, dass uns die Hunde ihre schlimme Vergangenheit nicht wirklich erzählen können. Aber jetzt ist alles gut, denn die Geschwister sind bei Maria in Sicherheit und sie werden allesamt mit der Zeit wieder Vertrauen erlernen. SAMMY zeigt sich mit seinen Geschwistern und den anderen Hundekumpels sehr verspielt und neugierig. Auch die Katzen im Shelter scheinen zu seinen Freunden zu zählen. Das ist eine momentane und aktuelle Einschätzung zu SAMMY. Wie er sich in der Zukunft, vor allem nach einem Umzug in ein neues Zuhause zeigen wird, können wir nicht voraussagen. Jedes Tier, wie auch wir Menschen, wird sich verändern und weiterentwickeln. Aber mit der richtigen, geduldigen und liebevollen Führung wird SAMMY bestimmt zu einem treuen Familienhund werden. SAMMY ist gechipt, geimpft und gegen Endo- und Ektoparasiten behandelt. Für einen Test auf die sogenannten Mittelmeerkrankheiten oder eine Kastration ist er momentan noch zu jung. Für SAMMY wünschen wir uns eine liebe Familie, die ihm geduldig und mit liebevoller Konsequenz die notwendige Sicherheit vermittelt. Eine Familie, die ihm die Geborgenheit gibt, die er so dringend braucht!
