Sanny has been living in the shelter in Busag for about five years now—along with many other dogs, but without a permanent primary caregiver. She came to the shelter with her sister Jana as a puppy, and both have been eagerly waiting for their own home and security ever since. Sanny is of a reserved and sensitive nature. She is afraid of strangers and keeps a distance, but she trusts her caregiver Dorel. She also allows him to touch her—however, she still cannot truly enjoy cuddles after all these years in the shelter. The everyday life in the large pack has shaped her: She gets along well with her fellow animals, but prefers to stay in the background and avoids conflicts. We are looking for people with a lot of patience and empathy to give Sanny the time she needs. She is not suitable for beginners and needs a quiet home in the countryside—preferably with a securely fenced yard where she can move freely. A confident only dog would certainly help her to adapt to her new life. Sanny has to learn everything—ranging from everyday life in the house to small steps towards trust. Maybe she will even find joy in shared walks or small training sessions over time. But it will likely take some time before shared walks can be considered. Positive dog training classes can help to slowly reduce her fears if she is ready. Those who simply open their arms to Sanny and do not expect anything from her give a fearful soul the chance for a better life—and may one day be rewarded with her trust. Sanny lebt mittlerweile seit etwa fünf Jahren im Shelter in Busag – gemeinsam mit vielen anderen Hunden, aber ohne feste Bezugsperson an ihrer Seite. Schon als Welpe kam sie gemeinsam mit ihrer Schwester Jana ins Shelter, und beide warten bis heute sehnsüchtig darauf, endlich ein eigenes Zuhause und Geborgenheit zu erfahren. Sanny ist von zurückhaltender, sensibler Natur. Sie hat Angst vor fremden Menschen und hält stets Abstand, doch ihrem Pfleger Dorel vertraut sie. Von ihm lässt sie sich auch berühren – Streicheleinheiten kann sie jedoch auch nach all den Jahren im Shelter immer noch nicht wirklich genießen. Der Alltag im großen Rudel hat sie geprägt: Mit ihren Artgenossen versteht sie sich gut, bleibt aber lieber im Hintergrund und geht Konflikten aus dem Weg. Wir suchen für Sanny Menschen mit ganz viel Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen, die ihr die Zeit lassen, die sie braucht. Sie ist nicht für Anfänger geeignet und braucht ein ruhiges Zuhause in ländlicher Umgebung – am besten mit sicher eingezäuntem Grundstück, auf dem sie sich frei bewegen kann. Ein souveräner Ersthund würde ihr sicherlich sehr helfen, sich an ihr neues Leben zu gewöhnen. Sanny muss alles erst lernen – vom Alltag im Haus bis zu kleinen Schritten in Richtung Vertrauen. Vielleicht findet sie mit der Zeit sogar Freude an gemeinsamen Spaziergängen oder kleinen Trainingseinheiten. Das wird aber sicherlich noch einige Zeit dauern, bis man an gemeinsame Spaziergänge denken kann. Die Unterstützung durch eine positiv arbeitende Hundeschule kann, wenn sie bereit dazu ist, helfen, ihre Ängste langsam abzubauen. Wer Sanny einfach mit offenen Armen empfängt und nichts von ihr erwartet, schenkt einer ängstlichen Seele die Chance auf ein besseres Leben – und wird vielleicht eines Tages mit ihrem Vertrauen belohnt.
