Sansli is a beautiful Retriever mix with a name that suits her perfectly: Şanslı means "lucky" or "lucky charm" in Turkish. She lived on the streets of Göcek and had two puppies. She ate whatever she could find on the streets or in trash cans. As a Retriever mix, she wasn't picky. Because no one looked after her and her puppies, the Göcek animal shelter decided to take her off the streets. The Göcek shelter is run with dedication by a number of Turkish and foreign volunteers. Since a law came into force in Turkey a few years ago, street dogs are no longer safe. Most dogs end up in the notorious municipal shelters. Şanslı, meaning "lucky" or "lucky charm," has certainly been lucky that the Göcek shelter took care of her. She is a cheerful, enthusiastic and affectionate dog who loves attention, companionship and the little things in life. She is social with the other dogs in the shelter. Living on the streets, she was used to encountering cats. In her enthusiasm, she still tends to pull on the leash. Het verhaal van Şanslı: Şanslı leefde op straat in Göcek en kreeg 2 pups. Ze at wat ze op straat of in vuilnisbakken aan eten vond. Als retriever-kruising was ze niet kieskeurig. Omdat niemand naar haar en haar pups omkeek, besloot het asiel in Gocek haar van straat te halen. Asiel Göcek wordt met veel toewijding gerund door een aantal Turkse en buitenlandse vrijwilligers. Sinds een paar jaar geleden een wet in Turkije van kracht is geworden, zijn straathonden hun leven niet meer zeker. De meeste honden komen in de slecht bekend staande gemeentelijke asielen terecht. Şanslı – wat “geluk” betekent – heeft dus zeker geluk gehad dat asiel Göcek zich over haar ontfermd heeft. Maak kennis met Sansli , een prachtige Retriever-kruising met een naam die haar perfect past: Şanslı betekent in het Turks namelijk “ gelukkig” of “geluksvogel”. 🍀 Sansli verblijft momenteel nog in het asiel in Turkije, maar ze heeft haar vrolijke karakter absoluut niet verloren. Ze is een opgewekte, enthousiaste en aanhankelijke hond die blij wordt van aandacht, gezelschap en de kleine dingen van het leven. Ze is sociaal met de andere honden in het asiel. Op straat levend, was ze gewend katten tegen te komen. In haar enthousiasme heeft ze nog wel de neiging aan de lijn te trekken.
