Sarmīte is a special dog – short, with a voice like "smoky," an Amazon vibe, and a fierce reaction at the fence makes you think that from any intruder only shoe laces will remain. However, once she gets to know someone, both opinion and attitude change. To her own people, Sarmīte is a smiling sun – she knows how to give a paw, there's no need to ask. She herself knows – if I give a paw, there will be a treat! Want a treat? - Put out your paw! Of course, she has her own relationship boundaries and, like a true independent Amazon, she doesn't like it when people get too affectionate or fawn over her. A common task, a shared walk, and a treat as a reward - that is what Sarmīte values as friendship and sincere relationships. If you respect Sarmīte's private space, you can live together wonderfully! Sarmīte really likes to go for walks and pays no attention to other dogs during that time, but for long-term coexistence with four-legged friends, she might lack patience. She won't leave her territory – she'll stay by the open gate all day. Yes, she doesn't make friends with other dogs, but who knows – miracles happen at home! And the feeling of home softens even the most stubborn Amazon characters... 6-year-old Sarmīte has been in Ulubelē since March 2019. She had found shelter in Jaunmārupes cemetery. The owner had raised her character with a sharp retractable leash... If you cannot adopt Sarmīte, please support her and the other Ulubelē residents' chance to meet their Human – in a few days or after several years. Sarmīte has been at the shelter for two years. Without the support of like-minded people, a no-kill shelter cannot exist, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you if you support her chance with a regular payment of 5 euros per month!

Sarmīte ir īpaša suņu dāma – zemā, it kā “nopīpētā” balss, amazones imidžs un niknā reakcija pie žoga liek domāt, ka no jebkura ienācēja pāri paliks tikai kurpjušņores. Taču iedraudzējoties mainās gan viedoklis, gan attieksme. Pret savējiem Sarmīte ir smaidīga saulīte – māk dot ķepu, pat nav jāprasa. Pati zina – došu ķepu būs kārumiņš! Gribu kārumiņu?-jāiedod ķepa! Protams, viņai ir savas attiecību robežas un kā jau īstai neatkarīgai amazonei nepatīk, ja pārāk uzbāžas ar samīļošanu vai familiāri pabužina. Kopīgs uzdevums, kopīgs pārgājiens un balvā par to kārums – lūk, ko Sarmīte novērtē kā draudzību un sirsnīgas attiecības. Ja respektē Sarmītes privāto telpu, var sadzīvot lieliski! Sarmītei ļoti patīk iet pastaigās un to laikā nepievērš nekādu uzmanību citiem suņiem, taču ilgstošai sadzīvošanai ar četrkājainajiem viņai, iespējams, pietrūks pacietības. No savas teritorijas prom neies – pie vaļējiem vārtiem nodzīvos kaut visu dienu. Jā, ar citiem suņiem nedraudzējas, bet kas to zin – mājās jau notiek brīnumi! Un māju sajūta liek atmaigt pat visnepiekāpīgāko amazoņu raksturiem… 6 gadus vecā Sarmīte Ulubelē kopš 2019.gada marta. Viņa patvērumu bija atradusi Jaunmārupes kapos. Saimnieks viņas raksturu bija audzinājis ar aso savelkošo kaklasiksnu… Ja nevari Sarmīti adoptēt, lūdzu atbalsti viņas un pārējo Ulubeles iemītnieku iespēju sagaidīt savu Cilvēku – pēc dažām dienām vai pēc vairākiem gadiem.
