Sasa

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Sasa - little fighter seeks her forever home 🏡✨ Approx. 3-4 months old (as of July 21, 2026) | friendly, playful like a puppy Sasa's story begins in a particularly sad way. Together with her three sisters, she was left in a sack on an isolated field. 💔 Nobody knows how long the puppies had to fight for their lives there. Two of her sisters didn't survive - only Sasa and her sister Maya did. 😢 Fortunately, they were found in time by our animal rights activist and brought to safety. There, they received immediate veterinary care, loving care, and recovered from the ordeal. 🩺❤️ Today, Sasa is growing up protected and finally learning that there are people who protect and love her. Sasa has of course been examined by a vet, vaccinated, chipped. 🩺💉 At our animal rights activist's place, she develops into a cheerful, playful and curious dog girl. She loves playing with the other dogs, exploring her surroundings, and enjoying every attention from her caregivers. 🥰🎾 With her friendly and open nature, Sasa gets along very well with other dogs and meets people curiously and lovingly. Every day she discovers something new and grows into a confident little female dog. 💛🐶 Of course, Sasa still needs to learn the basics of dog training. Housebreaking, walking on a leash, and living in a house or apartment are still new to her. With patience, love, and consistent, loving upbringing, she will master all that step by step. 🐾📚 Until Sasa is old enough for her big journey, she can grow up protected at our animal rights activist's place. Now what she needs most is a family of her own to give her love, security and a safe home. ❤️🏡 Who will give little Sasa the chance at a happy life and accompany her on her way into a wonderful future? 🐾💕 Sasa is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, not yet neutered, and examined by a vet when she leaves. She has an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Paragraph 11 permit to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases via rapid test. The adoption fee is €500 plus €30 for the purchase of safety harnesses. Note: When we assign breeds, we orient ourselves exclusively on external appearance as well as observable behavior (phenotype). This applies: This assignment is made to the best knowledge and conscience of the association and the participating veterinarians. However, these information do not necessarily correspond to actual genetic makeup (genotype), because reliable determination would only be possible through a DNA analysis. In addition, the behavioral and character description of each animal is based on careful observations by the animal rights activists on site or by the respective foster families. It should be noted that these assessments relate exclusively to the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. It's important to understand that the furry one will change after a successful

About Sasa

What life with Sasa looks like

Sasa is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sasa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sasa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sasa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sasa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sasa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sasa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sasa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
