Scarlett

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

Scarlett is a female dog born in 2021. She is a larger dog with a beautiful black coat and an exceptionally gentle gaze. She is a calm, balanced, and very human-oriented dog. Scarlett's character is a calm and emotionally stable female dog. At first, she can show joy, get a little excited and jump with enthusiasm, but after a while she returns to her natural calm. She is a dog that feels best with humans and values a quiet pace of life. She loves to rest, bask in the sun and just enjoy the moment. She has a lot of charm and cunning. Relationship with humans Contact with humans is very important to Scarlett. She enjoys being close to her owner, seeking support and a sense of security from him. She loves cuddling, stroking and affection. She can lie down next to a person and demand stroking on her belly. Closeness and warm contact are more valuable to her than food. She is a dog that builds a bond with great joy and is happy to accompany a person in everyday life. Activity and walks Scarlett walks nicely on a leash. During walks, she respects the guide, moves calmly and cooperates pleasantly. This makes her a wonderful companion for quiet walks. She did not react with stress to passing cars nearby, which shows her composure and good ability to cope with everyday stimuli. It is worth knowing that Scarlett loves walks very much and is reluctant to return from them. It happens that when the walk is over, she can lie down on the ground and pretend that something has happened to her or that she can't get up. This is her clever and charming way of extending the time spent together in the fresh air. Interactions with other animals Scarlett is not conflictual with other dogs. She rather avoids tensions and does not seek confrontation. She calmly and indifferently passed by dogs in the kennels, and she also observed dogs behind the fence without the need to engage in conflicts. There is a high chance that she could live with another dog. It would be best if it were a calm and balanced dog. It can be either a larger dog of similar size or a smaller calm companion. Of course, prior acquaintance is necessary. What kind of home is Scarlett looking for She will fit in both a house with a garden and an apartment, especially in a quieter area. She will certainly appreciate the opportunity to rest in the fresh air and bask in the sun in the garden, while in the apartment she will be a wonderful, calm companion of everyday life. Due to her calm character, gentleness and good relationship with humans, there is a high chance that she could also live with children if they know the rules of contact with animals. Scarlett is a unique female dog for people who are looking for a calm, affectionate and faithful companion. She is a dog that values human closeness and quiet moments above all else. Weight: 22kg Leash: yes Attitude towards dogs: positive She has been spayed, dewormed, dewormed, vaccinated, chipped, registered in the Safe Animal database. PL·Show original

Scarlett to suczka urodzona w 2021 roku. Chętnie przebywa blisko opiekuna, szuka w nim wsparcia i poczucia bezpieczeństwa. Uwielbia przytulanie, głaskanie i czułości. About Scarlett

What life with Scarlett looks like

Scarlett is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Scarlett, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Scarlett?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Scarlett on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Scarlett if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Scarlett already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Scarlett isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Scarlett and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
