RESERVIERT Schlumpfi

Maltese · Male

Hello, I am Schlumpfi. I was found running free, as no one was missing me, and now I am searching for a new home. I am a friendly and playful fellow and am always up for any adventure. Walks are my great passion; here I go with a lively pace and can't get enough of sniffing around. With other dogs, I am friendly and accommodating, and I react very kindly and curiously to cats. I find forced handling very scary—such as vet checks and clipping nails are very difficult for me. Here, I am looking for people who will take the time to work with me and practice these things step-by-step and with positive reinforcement. Health-wise, I am unremarkable. I am looking for a home with patient people who already have experience with dogs. Children should be at least in their teenage years. If you already have a dog, we can certainly discuss how to make it work. Do you want to meet me? Then get in touch!.

Dann melde dich!Dein Schlumpfi

About RESERVIERT Schlumpfi

What life with RESERVIERT Schlumpfi looks like

RESERVIERT Schlumpfi is a large adult maltese dog waiting at Tierschutzverein St. Pölten in St. Pölten.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting RESERVIERT Schlumpfi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about RESERVIERT Schlumpfi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein St. Pölten handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw RESERVIERT Schlumpfi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt RESERVIERT Schlumpfi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein St. Pölten will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is RESERVIERT Schlumpfi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if RESERVIERT Schlumpfi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein St. Pölten early rather than rehoming privately; they know RESERVIERT Schlumpfi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
