Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

I am female, microchipped, and vaccinated, born in early 2020. I am approximately 50 cm tall. I have been waiting since March 2021 for a new home. My caretakers say about me: Lila came to us with other dogs on the wrong path. Since she didn't have a good start in life, she is initially shy and fearful, but warms up very quickly and builds trust. Initially, she should still be properly secured, and experience in dealing with anxious dogs is advantageous. Otherwise, a visit to a good dog training class is naturally recommended, which is also advised for Lila's adoption. Since Lila is still young, most of her insecurity can be taken away with good training work. She can then lead a normal and happy dog life and spare herself and others a life of stress. Lila shows herself to be very compatible with fellow animals and can also be gradually accustomed to other animals. She also resembles a blank slate and must learn from scratch what makes up a good dog: being a good passenger in the car, housebreaking, being left alone, leash manners, and so on. As she is very eager to learn and cuddly, and also enjoys playing with other dogs, there is nothing in the way of fun in the training work, and one can have a lot of fun with her among like-minded dog friends. Also, Lila would have surely enjoyed being an office companion dog at a training school… It doesn't matter whether the shared work is done in the morning or at sunset, as long as Lila is at the start…. Gets along with other dogs.

About Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm

What life with Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm looks like

Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Schkortitz in Grimma.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Schkortitz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Schkortitz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Schkortitz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Schnauzermixhündin Lila – Lilalaunebärchen im Hasenkostüm and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
