adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Scott has found a home! 53125 Bonn. Scott can travel to his foster home in March! His story: Bistrita, Romania. The cute Scott was found with his brother Klaus near a river in the vicinity of Bistrita. Alone and abandoned, and slightly frightened, the two boys looked at us. What happened to the beautiful Scott with his wonderful markings and his brother, we cannot say for certain. But both have a special trait: they have a short tail, which is congenital and does not bother them. For us, it does not make them any less lovable. Both are beautiful. Now the two are together in a wonderful foster home and waiting for their journey to forever happiness. Scott belongs to the initially reserved dogs like his brother. If one gives him time and patience, one can win his trust and receive a friendly and clingy personality as a gift. Scott is so far compatible with other animals. He learns the whole range of animals: other dogs, cats, rabbits, and chickens. The five-month-old Scott will likely reach a medium size when fully grown. We see him in a more quiet family that gives him enough time to settle in and shows patience until Scott builds up his trust. A yard for a walk would certainly please him, but it is not a must. His new family should be aware that Klaus still has to learn the whole Welpen ABC. Living together in a house is still new to him, and puberty is still ahead. Here he needs people who approach with love and patience, and maybe even attend some positive dog training classes with him and forgive him one or two mishaps. A dog training class can also be a great help at the beginning to strengthen the bond between dog and human. During puberty, he will also likely test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things he has learned. But eventually, this phase will also be over! If you want to win the heart of our shy little boy, thank you, Anne L.! You have given Scott his name. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped. This is a puppy.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Scott hat sein Zuhause gefunden! 53125 Bonn. Vielen Dank Anne L.! Du hast Scott seinen Namen geschenkt.

About Scott

What life with Scott looks like

Scott is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Scott, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Scott?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Scott on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Scott if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Scott already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Scott isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Scott and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
