Seb

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Seb, a friendly, lively, and energetic 3-year-old mixed-breed male, approximately 62 cm tall, is looking for his forever home. He was rescued from the Lancram killing station in September 2026 and is hoping for a life where he can finally feel at home. Seb has already won over everyone at the killing station with his friendly and open nature, and he loves interacting with people who walk past his enclosure. He also gets along well with his fellow dogs and is well-behaved around children. Seb is a sporty dog and would be a great active family companion, enjoying long walks, adventures, and outdoor activities. With patience, clear rules, and loving guidance, his temperament can be tamed, making him a great partner for any activity. Seb is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, neutered, and has a EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Paragraph 11 permit to Germany. They are also tested for Mediterranean diseases via a rapid test. The adoption fee is €520 plus €30 for the purchase of a safety harness. Please note that breed assignments are based on the dog's appearance and behavior, and may not necessarily reflect their actual genetic makeup. The behavior and character descriptions are based on careful observations by local animal rescuers and foster homes. These assessments are based on the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. It's important to understand that the dog's behavior may change after adoption.

About Seb

What life with Seb looks like

Seb is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Seb, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Seb?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Seb on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Seb if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Seb already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Seb isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Seb and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
