Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

female dog, born ca. 2024, approx. 45 cm, spayed prior to travel arrangements, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for Babesiosis, Borreliosis, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Dirofilaria, and Leishmaniasis before travel arrangements Very lovable dog JoyJoy and her little son Jonny (see www.sos-strassentiere.de) as well as three more puppies were found one day in a Romanian village. Abandoned or looking for food. A compassionate woman started feeding the small family – and so they stayed, waiting daily for their feeder. In the end, the woman asked our well-known animal rescuer for help, so that Joy and her children now live on her farm. Joy was completely neglected, her fur at the back end was so matted that it could only be removed in large sheets. Joy endured everything silently and without hesitation. She showed an exceptionally friendly and open nature during and after this process. She is happy with every interaction and touch, plays joyfully and full of life with the other dogs living there, and even accepts the house cat. She loves people very much, including the schoolchild of her lifesaver. She took care of her puppies in a exemplary manner. Now, however, they are old enough to go their separate ways and find their own homes. Joy is a very lovable rough diamond who, of course, still needs to learn the basics of being a dog. It will not be difficult for her because she is very devoted to humans. For Joy, who lives up to her name (joy: happiness), we are seeking a loving home with a house and garden, preferably as a second dog (no requirement). A foster home would also make Joy happy. Joy is still in Romania.

About Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy

What life with Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy looks like

Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SOS-Strassentiere e.V. in Berlin-Köpenick.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS-Strassentiere e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS-Strassentiere e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS-Strassentiere e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sehr liebenswerte Hundedame Joy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
