Selkie was reported to us as a pitiful emergency case. Her foster home advocated for her very strongly. Now Selkie is ready for a home of her own. Her foster home wrote to us: Selkie was found on a woodpile, heavily infested with fleas and starved, and has only recovered slowly. But now she is doing much better. She is between 10 and 12 years old and very cuddly and peaceful. She enjoys all the attention and is very affectionate toward her people. Other cats are fine, but not a must, and should have a similarly calm temperament. Selkie is the ideal companion for shared evenings on the couch, and she also happily sleeps through the nights and all her naps. She is becoming more playful, but she also startles easily and then retreats. She enjoys eating but has her own tastes and does not let herself be forced into every food. Allergies are currently being investigated, and long-term cortisone may possibly be necessary. Selkie is uncomplicated, affectionate, and enjoys plenty of human company. If, however, nobody has time, she also happily takes an extended nap on her own.

Selkie wurde uns als bemittleidenswerter Notfall gemeldet. Ihre Pflegestelle setzte sich sehr für sie ein. Jetzt ist Selkie bereit für ein eigenes Zuhause. Ihre Pflegestelle schrieb uns: Selkie wurde stark verfloht und ausgehungert auf einem Holzstapel gefunden und hat sich nur langsam erholt. Aber jetzt geht es ihr viel besser. Sie ist zwischen 10-12 Jahre alt und sehr kuschlig und friedlich. Sie genießt alle Aufmerksamtkeit und geht sehr liebenswürdig mit ihren Menschen um. Andere Katzen sind in Ordnung, aber kein Muss und sollten wenn ein ähnlich ruhiges Temperament haben. Selkie ist die ideale Partnerin für gemeinsame Abende auf der Couch, und schläft auch die Nächte und sämtliche Nickerchen gerne mit durch. Sie wird immer verspielter, erschrickt aber auch schnell und tritt dann den Rückzug an. Sie frisst gerne, hat aber ihren eigenen Geschmack und lässt sich nicht jedes Futter aufdrängen. Momentan werden Allergien abgeklärt, womöglich wird hier ein Langzeitcortison notwendig. Selkie ist unkompliziert, verschmust und hat gerne viel menschliche Gesellschaft. Wenn allerdings niemand Zeit hat, macht sie auch gerne alleine ein ausführliches Schläfchen.
