In addition to sufficient exercise, he also needs mental stimulation. He likes to follow tracks. Search games or tracking could be fun for him. Semmerl already walks well on a leash or long line. From puppyhood until young adulthood, he lived with a Roma family, but one day they gave him up at the shelter. Currently, Semmerl is about 5 years old and has a shoulder height of 59 cm with a weight of about 30 kg. After acclimatization, Semmerl would appreciate a visit to a positive training class for dogs. The joint training would also strengthen the bond. Semmerl is looking for a loving home, preferably in a rural area with an active family, preferably with older children and a garden. He would be very happy about dog company in his new home. So far, he has always lived with other animals. Due to his hunting drive, he should not be with cats and small animals. Semmerl verzaubert durch sein besonders sanftes, liebevolles Wesen und eine ruhige, ausgeglichene Ausstrahlung. Er eignet sich hervorragend als Begleiter, der Gelassenheit in den Alltag bringt. Semmerl liebt Kuscheleinheiten mit seinen Menschen sehr und klettert dabei gerne mal auf den Schoß. Ebenso liebt er es draußen in der Natur unterwegs zu sein, ist dabei neugierig und offen Neues zu entdecken. Neben genügend Bewegung benötigt er auch eine geistige Auslastung. Er mag es, Spuren nachzugehen. Suchspiele oder Mantrailing könnten ihm Spaß bereiten. Semmerl geht bereits recht gut an Leine oder Schleppleine. Wenn er Gelegenheit dazu hat, geht er auch gerne in Gewässer hinein. Mit Autofahren hat er kein Problem. Semmerl ist zudem ein idealer Bürobegleithund und liegt dort entspannt und ruhig dabei. Vom Welpenalter an bis ins junge Erwachsenenalter lebte er bei einer Roma-Familie, die ihn dann aber eines Tages im Shelter abgab. Aktuell ist Semmerl ca. 5 Jahre alt und hat eine Schulterhöhe von 59 cm bei einem Gewicht von ca. 30 kg. Nach der Eingewöhnung würde sich Semmerl über den Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule freuen. Das gemeinsame Training würde auch noch mal die Bindung stärken. Semmerl sucht ein liebevolles Zuhause, eher in ländlicher Umgebung bei einer aktiven Familie, gerne auch mit schon größeren Kindern mit Garten. Über Hundegesellschaft im neuen Zuhause würde er sich sehr freuen. Bisher lebte er immer mit Artgenossen zusammen. Aufgrund seines Jagdtriebs sollte er nicht zu Katzen und Kleintieren. Nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle kann Semmerl kastriert, geimpft, gechipt, entwurmt und mit einem EU-Heimtierausweis gegen eine Schutzgebühr in sein neues Zuhause umziehen.
