Sen

Male · Young · 1 year

Sen is a big, wonderful dog - a real teddy bear for cuddling. Once you get to know him, you immediately see one thing: he loves people with all his heart. He is energetic, lively and full of joy. In his eyes you can see a huge desire to live and a strong need for closeness to a person. Every meeting with people is a big holiday for him. He wags his tail, enjoys himself completely and would most like to jump into someone's arms to cuddle. Sen is a big guy, but inside he is like a big, kind child. He loves human contact, petting and shared moments. This is a dog who gives his whole heart and just waits for someone to finally give him theirs. He walks nicely on a leash and does well on walks. He is also friendly towards other dogs. Unfortunately, his world today is a shelter cage and bars. And yet, such a dog should have a home, a soft resting place and a person he can love every day. Imagine how happy he would be if one day someone came for him and said: "Come on Sen, let's go home". Maybe you are the person he has been waiting for. Give him a chance. Give him a home. He will repay you with a love that cannot be described in words.

PL·Show original

Sen to duży, cudowny pies – taki prawdziwy psi miś do przytulania. Kiedy się go poznaje, od razu widać jedno: on kocha ludzi całym sobą. Uwielbia kontakt z człowiekiem, głaskanie i wspólne chwile. A przecież taki pies powinien mieć dom, miękkie legowisko i człowieka, którego będzie mógł kochać każdego dnia.

About Sen

What life with Sen looks like

Sen is a large young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
