When he was found, he was severely injured. One hind leg could be saved, but the other had to be amputated. Sounds dramatic? Yes, his story is sad – but Shadow takes it all much more lightly: three legs, full power, and plenty of zest for life. None of this has defeated him. Shadow still looks forward trustingly and courageously – as if nothing has happened. For him, what matters is being there, exploring the world, and having people by his side. Thanks to his lightweight build, he manages his "tripawd" condition very well. Of course, he won’t become a marathon runner – and his new home should ideally be on one level, without many stairs. But walks, playtime, frolicking, cozy garden rounds, or exciting shorter outings: no problem for our clever boy. Shadow is absolutely people-oriented and enjoys every bit of attention. He gets along with other dogs, BUT: Shadow would like to be the boss of the pack. Therefore, a dominant fellow animal in the family does not suit him – he would prefer to be the only prince.

Als er gefunden wurde, war er schwer verletzt. Ein Hinterbein konnte man retten, das andere musste leider amputiert werden. Klingt nach Drama? Ja, seine Geschichte ist traurig – aber Shadow selbst sieht das alles viel lockerer: drei Beine, volle Power und jede Menge Lebensfreude. Von all dem hat er sich nicht unterkriegen lassen. Shadow blickt weiterhin vertrauensvoll und mutig nach vorne – als wäre nichts gewesen. Für ihn zählt nur: dabei sein, die Welt entdecken und die Menschen an seiner Seite haben. Dank seines leichten Körperbaus kommt er mit seiner „Dreibeinigkeit“ sehr gut zurecht. Klar, Marathonläufer wird er keiner mehr – und sein neues Zuhause sollte möglichst ebenerdig sein, ohne viele Treppen. Aber Spaziergänge, Spielen, Toben, gemütliche Gartenrunden oder spannende kürzere Ausflüge: alles kein Problem für unseren cleveren Burschen. Shadow ist absolut menschenbezogen und genießt jede Aufmerksamkeit. Mit anderen Hunden ist er verträglich, ABER: Shadow wäre eben gern der Boss im Rudel. Ein dominanter Artgenosse in der Familie passt daher nicht zu ihm – am liebsten wäre er Einzelprinz. Dort darf er dann natürlich trot
