Shakira and Piqué are two 7-year-old Mastiff mixes who have lived their entire lives in a family setting. Unfortunately, their guardian passed away suddenly, and no one has been able to take care of them. It's clear that they are accustomed to human contact: they are two friendly, approachable Mastiffs who let themselves be handled without issue and enjoy being petted. Shakira is quite independent. She goes at her own pace and doesn't constantly seek contact, although she doesn't mind receiving affection either. She is a calm dog who doesn't seek conflicts but has energy and many desires to explore. Her main drawback at the moment is walking on a leash. It seems she is not very accustomed to it and runs like a horse; considering her size, it can sometimes be a bit challenging to manage her. We will continue to work on this gradually, as we believe she hasn't gone for many walks due to having lived on a farm. So far, she doesn't seem to have any issues with other dogs. She has already been neutered. She is positive for Leishmania and is starting treatment. The Test 4 Idexx (Ehrlichia, Heartworm, Anaplasma, and Borrelia) is negative.

Shakira y Piqué son dos cruces de mastín de 7 años que han vivido toda su vida en familia. Por desgracia, su tutor falleció repentinamente y nadie ha podido hacerse cargo de ellos. Se nota perfectamente que están acostumbrados al contacto humano: son dos mastines sociables, simpáticos, que se dejan manipular sin problema y disfrutan de las caricias. Shakira es bastante independiente. Va un poco a su aire y no busca constantemente el contacto, aunque tampoco le molesta recibir mimos. Es una perra tranquila, que no busca conflictos, pero tiene energía y muchas ganas de explorar. Ahora mismo su principal hándicap es el paseo con correa. Parece que no está demasiado acostumbrada y va galopando como un caballo; teniendo en cuenta su tamaño, a veces cuesta un poco manejarla.
