The two dogs were very shy and initially wouldn't come close or be touched. After a feeding station was set up, they came regularly and stayed at the location. Shantanuu then allowed himself to be secured with patience and calm. He has a larger wound on his front leg that needs to be treated, as well as many parasites. However, if he encounters something unfamiliar or gets scared, he retreats immediately. He walks well on the leash but is tense and reacts sensitively to quick movements and noises in his environment. Unknown impulses unsettle him, and he tries to avoid them. Collar and harness and a double safety are an absolute must. His new owners must be responsible people who understand the importance of safety. He is a nervous dog, yes. But he is also cheerful and sociable, a dog who wants security and will then build trust. Shantanuu is looking for people who can wait. Patient people who understand that trust develops slowly and cannot be demanded. Shantanuu needs calm, clear structures and people who can read him. No loud house, no hectic environment, no rushing, but patience, calmness, and no hurry. Life in a city, where honking cars, motorcycles, and a certain background noise are part of the normal day, would overwhelm him. Of course, he can learn this, but if it's part of the first day, we would rather spare him that. An experienced Galgo companion by his side would be ideal. A calm, well-established dog who shows him that the world is not a threatening place and that dog life can also be truly beautiful. Shantanuu is a cautious Galgo puppy who needs trust, not pressure. With patient people, he will show how clingy and lovable he is. Health Shantanuu is regularly checked by a veterinarian, comprehensive laboratory analyses are available, and he is multiple times vaccinated, including rabies protection. This is not an individual case at Podenco in Not, but a standard: all our dogs are regularly examined. This includes vaccinations, general check-ups, and a dental status check with cleaning if necessary. Nachdem eine Futterstelle eingerichtet war, kamen sie regelmässig und blieben am Ort.Shantanuu liess sich dann mit Ruhe und Geduld sichern.Er hat eine grössere Wunde am Vorderlauf, die versorgt werden muss, zudem viele Parasiten. Geht man direkt auf ihn zu, wird er nervös und weicht aus. Männern gegenüber ist er besonders zurückhaltend. Bei aller Vorsicht ist er geduldig und liebenswert, was sich zum Beispiel daran zeigt, dass er die Wundversorgung am Bein ruhig über sich ergehen ließ. Er entwickelt sich langsam und Schritt für Schritt: Er geht in den Auslauf, rennt, spielt und springt auf seine Betreuerinnen zu, um Aufmerksamkeit einzufordern. Ihnen gegenüber ist er freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Begegnet ihm jedoch etwas Unbekanntes oder bekommt er Angst, zieht er sich sofort zurück. An der Leine läuft er gut, aber er ist angespannt und reagiert empfindlich auf schnelle Bewegungen und Geräusche in seiner Umgebung. Unbekannte Impulse versetzen ihn in Unruhe, er versucht auszuweichen. Geschirr und Halsband und eine doppelte Sicherung sind ein absolutes Muss. Seine neuen Halter müssen verantwortungsbewusste Menschen sein, die sich über die Wichtigkeit der Sicherung bewusst sind. Er ist ein nervöser Hund, ja. Aber er ist gleichzeitig fröhlich und umgänglich, ein Hund, der sich Sicherheit wünscht und dann Vertrauen aufbauen wird. Shantanuu sucht Menschen, die warten können.Geduldige Menschen, die verstehen, dass Vertrauen langsam entstehen muss und sich nicht einfordern lässt.Shantanuu braucht Ruhe, klare Strukturen und Menschen, die ihn lesen können. Kein lautes Haus, kein hektisches Umfeld, kein Drängen, sondern Geduld, Ruhe und keine Eile.Das Leben in einer Stadt, bei dem zum normalen Alltag hupendes Autos, Motorräder und eine gewisse Geräuschkulisse gehört, würde ihn überfordern. Natürlich kann er das lernen, aber wenn es ab dem ersten Tag dazu gehört, würden wir es ihm lieber ersparen. Ein souveräner Galgogefährte an seiner Seite wäre ideal. Ein ruhiger, gefestigter Hund, der ihm zeigt, dass die Welt kein bedrohlicher Ort ist und ein Hundeleben auch richtig schön sein kann. Shantanuu ist ein vorsichtiger Galgorüde, der Vertrauen braucht, nicht Druck. Bei geduldigen Menschen wird er zeigen, wie anhänglich und liebenswert er ist. Gesundheit Shantanuu wird regelmäßig tierärztlich kontrolliert, umfangreiche Laboranalysen liegen vor und er ist mehrfach geimpft, inklusive Tollwutschutz.
