Sheldon was recently in a foster home and is getting better every day – and it's clear how much he enjoys life with people. With his shoulder height of about 64 cm and weight of around 27 kg, Sheldon is a sturdy but easily handled male dog who would like to walk by his people's side. He is a friendly, open dog who likes people – whether inside or outside. Sheldon is happy to receive any attention and enjoys cuddles very much. He also gets along well with other dogs, with friendliness deciding the outcome. In everyday life, Sheldon already does many things right: he walks well on a leash and a slip lead, comes when called, and is now house-trained. He also jumps into the car independently and rides without a problem. He has also learned to sit – a little stud. He is a lively and active companion who likes to be out, sniffing, and exploring his surroundings. On walks, he shows curiosity and interest in everything he encounters. Sheldon is not at all bad – he simply brings a healthy portion of temperament and can be a bit more intense in play. Therefore, he is not suitable for small children. Sheldon ignores horses without a problem. Cats in the household have not yet been tested, but he would likely chase them outside. A certain prey drive is therefore present, so further work on recall should be done. He can be left alone for 2–3 hours with other dogs already. How he behaves in more lively environments is still unknown, as he currently lives very quietly on the countryside. A dog training class would be a nice support for Sheldon to grow together and gain security in everyday life. Sheldon durfte vor einiger Zeit in eine Pflegestelle reisen und kommt dort von Tag zu Tag mehr an. Mit jedem Tag zeigt er mehr von seinem liebevollen, fröhlichen Wesen – und man merkt einfach, wie sehr er das Leben mit Menschen genießt. Mit seinen ca. 64 cm Schulterhöhe und etwa 27 kg ist Sheldon ein stattlicher, aber gut händelbarer Rüde, der gerne an der Seite seiner Menschen durchs Leben gehen möchte. Er ist ein freundlicher, aufgeschlossener Hund, der Menschen sehr mag – egal ob drinnen oder draußen. Sheldon freut sich über jede Aufmerksamkeit und genießt Streicheleinheiten sehr. Auch mit anderen Hunden kommt er meist gut zurecht, Sympathie entscheidet. Im Alltag macht Sheldon bereits vieles richtig: Er läuft gut an der Leine und an der Schleppleine, kommt auf Rückruf und ist inzwischen stubenrein. Auch ins Auto springt er selbstständig und fährt problemlos mit. Sitz hat er ebenfalls schon gelernt – ein kleiner Streber Er ist ein lebensfroher und aktiver Begleiter, der gerne draußen unterwegs ist, schnüffelt und seine Umgebung erkundet. Beim Spazierengehen zeigt er sich neugierig und interessiert an allem, was ihm begegnet. Sheldon ist keineswegs böse – er bringt einfach eine ordentliche Portion Temperament mit und kann im Spiel auch mal etwas stürmischer werden. Daher ist er für kleine Kinder eher nicht geeignet. Pferde ignoriert Sheldon problemlos. Katzen im Haushalt konnten bisher nicht getestet werden, draußen würde er ihnen vermutlich nachgehen. Ein gewisser Jagdtrieb ist also vorhanden, weshalb weiter am Rückruf gearbeitet werden sollte. Alleine bleiben klappt in Gesellschaft anderer Hunde bereits 2–3 Stunden gut. Wie er sich in belebteren Umgebungen verhält, ist noch nicht bekannt, da er aktuell sehr ruhig auf dem Land lebt. Eine Hundeschule wäre für Sheldon eine schöne Unterstützung, um gemeinsam weiter zu wachsen und Sicherheit im Alltag zu gewinnen. Sheldon ist ein echter Sonnenschein, der einfach gerne bei seinen Menschen ist und die gemeinsame Zeit in vollen Zügen genießt. Sheldon kann jederzeit in seiner Pflegestelle besucht und kennengelernt werden. Er zieht gechipt, kastriert, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht und bringt seinen EU-Heimtierausweis mit.
