Sianca

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 8 months

Sianca is a white cat with a hearing impairment who was originally a street cat living in a small village. She was caught by a man and released in Sofia, where he believed she would find food more easily. Fortunately, Sianca was discovered by Desislava's friend. Due to her white fur, life on the streets would have been particularly dangerous for her as white cats are very susceptible to sun damage. Since the friend could not keep her, Desislava took Sianca in. Sianca is an incredibly loving and people-oriented cat who quickly gains trust and openly approaches her two-legged friends. She enjoys closeness and likes to accompany her caregivers through everyday life - even into the bathroom. With her affectionate nature, she would like to be always with them. Sianca also gets along well with other cats. It takes her a few days to get used to new, still unfamiliar furry friends. Only one thing is clear: Her food bowl belongs only to her. There is an impression that Sianca's hearing is impaired. She does not always respond to sounds or speech and seems to hear worse than other cats. It cannot be said for sure whether she is completely deaf or just has limited hearing. In everyday life, however, she shows no problems. For this lively and uncomplicated dream cat, the time has finally come for big, lasting kitten happiness. After all the turmoil on the streets, Sianca deserves a cozy bed where she can be taken as she is and accompany her humans at every step.

About Sianca

What life with Sianca looks like

Sianca is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sianca, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sianca?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sianca on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sianca if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sianca already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sianca isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sianca and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
