Siete

Belgian Malinois · Male · Adult · 4 years

Young Malinois who absolutely must get out of the run. He is a clever dog who already knows a few tricks and commands and proves his ability to learn quickly. Siete is clingy and enjoys spending time with people. He thrives with positive interactions and training. Malinois Siete really loves going for walks, runs beautifully on a leash, and stays calm when cars, people, and other dogs pass by. He is curious and likes to stop and enjoy a treat along the way. Unfortunately, Siete has a hard time living in a small cage for over 23 hours a day. He needs daily walks and mental stimulation, which we currently cannot provide due to a lack of volunteers. The stress in the animal shelter is almost unbearable for Siete. The great guy is getting thinner and his enthusiasm for life is fading. In a loving home, Siete will surely develop into the wonderful companion he has the potential to be. If you are looking for a loyal friend who is eager to learn and showered with affection, Siete could be the perfect partner for you! Malinois are typically very active and need to be challenged and stimulated. However, regular and sufficient rest periods must not be forgotten. For Malinois, it is important that they come to people who are well-versed in the breed or have prior experience with it. They are special dogs not suited for every lifestyle and require appropriate physical and mental stimulation. This should be kept in mind before deciding on such a special dog. If you are aware of the responsibility and have fallen in love with the idea, please contact the responsible matchmaker, and we would also be very happy to consider a foster home arrangement.

About Siete

What life with Siete looks like

Siete is a adult belgian malinois dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Siete, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Siete?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Siete on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Siete if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Siete already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Siete isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Siete and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
