adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Silly is an approximately 4-month-old female dog and one of five siblings who are currently hoping for a new home at the Public Shelter in Baia Mare. She is a particularly sweet and beautiful, black-brown girl with a loving gaze and small floppy ears. Despite her difficult start in life, Silly shows a friendly, curious nature and brings everything a young female dog needs to develop into a wonderful companion. She is lively, active, and very playful and likes both people and other dogs very much. Silly is likely to be of medium size. Due to her appearance, we cannot rule out that she is a German Shepherd mix and brings with her the genes of a working dog. Puppies should not have to grow up in the shelter. The loud, stressful, and over-stimulating environment is particularly burdensome for the smallest and can have a lasting impact on their development. In the first few months of life, they need security, safety, and positive experiences to develop into healthy, confident dogs. However, the shelter lacks exactly these important impressions and individual affection. Therefore, it is so important that puppies can leave as soon as possible to begin their life in a family of their own – where they can grow up protected, learn, discover, and simply be puppies. Since she has not known life in the house so far, Silly still has a lot to learn: house training, everyday noises, basic commands, and relaxed interaction with people. Loving but consistent training and plenty of training will support her during the adjustment period. We therefore recommend that Silly visit a positively working dog training class where she can learn the 1×1 for a well-behaved house dog. Soon she will also enter puberty – an exciting phase in which she will test boundaries and rediscover the world. Here, understanding and humor are needed, because with loving guidance and consistent training, Silly will become a wonderful lifelong companion. For the sweet Silly, we are looking for loving and responsible people who will give her time, patience, and safety. Silly needs people who enjoy accompanying a young female dog as she grows up, fostering her growth, and gradually showing her the world. With the right support, she will hopefully develop into a loyal, balanced family dog. Silly would also be very happy with a loving foster home. If you fall in love with the cute Silly and want to offer her a new home and family connection, then contact us. She is named after the kind Bina P., who gave her the name. Date: 23.05.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Silly

What life with Silly looks like

Silly is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Silly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Silly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Silly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Silly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Silly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Silly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Silly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
