Simba

Belgian Malinois · Unknown · Young · 3 years

From a difficult background, I came to Diddlinger Animal Shelter. I am, in line with my breed, a rather nervous dog who needs regular and serious mental stimulation. If this is not the case, I tend to destroy things. Therefore, it happens that the water bucket, the new bed or the toy do not last long in my home. I therefore need a confident family that may have experience with the breed, possibly a professional, who will give me security and the necessary time to get used to the new home. I am a very people-oriented dog and want to live close to my family in the house! I learn quickly and could become a very loyal companion! I don't like cats.

Aus schlechten Verhältnissen stammend, koum ech hei an Diddlenger Déierenasyl. Ech sinn, menger Rass entspriechend, en zimlech nervösen Hond, dee regelméisseg an sériös mental Beschäftegung brauch. Wann dëst net de Fall as, tendéieren ech ze zerstéieren. Also geschitt et datt den Eemer Waasser, den neie Kuerf oder d'Spillsaach net laang a mengem Heem iwwerlieft. Ech brauch dofir eng souverän Famill, déi vleicht mat der Rass Erfahrung huet, eventuell professionneler, déi mir Sécherheet an déi néideg Zäit gin, fir mech un dat neit Heem ze winnen. Ech sinn e ganz mënschenbezunnen Hond a wëll do duerch no bei menger Famill am Haus liewen! Ech léieren séier a kéint e ganz treie Liewensgefährte ginn. Photos by Jérôme Neumann

About Simba

What life with Simba looks like

Simba is a young adult belgian malinois dog waiting at SPAD Chats et Chiens Luxembourg in Dudelange.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇱🇺Adopting from Luxembourg

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Simba, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Simba?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPAD Chats et Chiens Luxembourg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Simba on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Simba if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPAD Chats et Chiens Luxembourg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Simba already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Simba isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPAD Chats et Chiens Luxembourg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Simba and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
