Simba is a white male cat who originally came to us just for a quick spay/neuter and treatment of dermatological issues related to very sensitive, white ears. Unfortunately, during the diagnostic process, it became clear that his health condition requires much greater care, and Simba has already thoroughly won our hearts. ❤️ This older kitten likely had never had contact with a vet before. Thanks to the performed tests, several chronic conditions were detected. Simba suffers from kidney disease (stage III kidney failure and proteinuria), and also battles gastrointestinal issues, including advanced SIBO and a gastrointestinal-kidney syndrome. In the meantime, liver problems have also appeared, but thanks to treatment, parameters have been stabilized. Simba also underwent treatment for giardia and currently remains under control due to toxoplasmosis. The diseases are chronic but are being treated and are currently more or less stabilized. Recently, Simba also underwent a procedure to remove all teeth and today is already a brave toothless kitty. 😺Despite this, he manages very well and it in no way hinders his daily functioning.

Simba to biały kocurek, który miał trafić do nas jedynie „na chwilę” -na kastrację oraz leczenie problemów dermatologicznych związanych z bardzo wrażliwymi, białymi uszami. Niestety podczas diagnostyki okazało się, że jego stan zdrowia wymaga znacznie większej opieki, a sam Simba już na dobre skradł nasze serca. ❤️ To starszy kotek, który prawdopodobnie wcześniej nigdy nie miał kontaktu z weterynarzem. Dzięki wykonanym badaniom udało się wykryć u niego kilka przewlekłych schorzeń. Simba choruje na nerki (III stadium niewydolności nerek oraz białkomocz), zmaga się również z problemami jelitowymi, w tym zaawansowanym SIBO i zespołem jelitowo-nerkowym. W międzyczasie pojawiły się także problemy z wątrobą, jednak dzięki leczeniu parametry udało się ustabilizować. Simba przeszedł również leczenie giardii oraz obecnie pozostaje pod kontrolą w związku z toksoplazmozą. Choroby mają charakter przewlekły, ale są leczone i obecnie pozostają w miarę ustabilizowane. Niedawno Simba przeszedł także zabieg usunięcia wszystkich zębów i dziś jest już dzielnym bezzębnym kocurkiem. 😺Mimo tego świetnie sobie radzi i w żaden sposób nie przeszkadza mu to w codziennym funkcjonowaniu.
