Sir Loves-a-Lot

Male · Adult · 8 years

Brave Sir Loves-a-Lot is eager to find his forever home - could you be his knight in shining armour? Sir Loves-a-Lot has been on a quest for his new loving family for quite some time now - could you give him the second chance he so deserves? Once he gets to know you he is a gentle soul who loves a fuss and will actively seek out your attention, just like he does with his foster carers hand pulling it towards him for attention. He may take some time to settle in, but once you earn his trust, he will reward you with being the most loving companion. His ideal home would be calm, quiet and settled. Sir Loves-a-Lot requires a nice quiet room to settle into initially; he may find the move a little worrying so to support him it would be ideal for him to have sole use of that room until he becomes more comfortable. Frankie also can't wait to get back outside again - he used to love smelling the fresh air and feeling the grass between his little paws. He will benefit from a private garden. Once settled, Sir Loves-a-Lot also loves a play! This will be a great way to bond with him when he is ready. He will also absolutely love being showered with treats! Sir Loves-a-Lot is currently staying with a foster carer - therefore our cat rehoming team would be more than happy to explain the process of rehoming should he be a match for you. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Sir Loves-a-Lot, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest. e cat you have contacted us about.

About Sir Loves-a-Lot

What life with Sir Loves-a-Lot looks like

Sir Loves-a-Lot is a medium-sized adult cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sir Loves-a-Lot, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sir Loves-a-Lot?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sir Loves-a-Lot on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sir Loves-a-Lot if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sir Loves-a-Lot already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sir Loves-a-Lot isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sir Loves-a-Lot and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
